WHY A THERMOMETER?
A thermometer is an essential tool for keeping an eye on the temperature in the terrarium. It allows you to check at any time how warm your snails are.
We deliberately avoid using a hygrometer, as we have found that they often give inaccurate readings. Regardless of the actual humidity, many hygrometers tend to constantly display 95%. This happens because, in the humid environment of the snails, water easily collects inside the hygrometer, rendering it useless.
Instead, we recommend checking the humidity by observing condensation on the glass. You can find more tips on this in our care guidelines.
The thermometer can be flexibly attached to the glass using the suction cup, and you can position it facing either inwards or outwards. Alternatively, you can also secure it, for example, with a thumbtack on the back wall.
